Many of you reached this page and you’re afraid because you saw codes and you thought you need coding to do this. NO YOU’RE WRONG, IT’S SUPER EASY LET ME TEACH YOU HOW TO INTEGRATE GOOGLE ANALYTICS INTO YOUR WEBSITE.

Integrate Google analytics

The most important thing here is the Tracking Code. Copy the whole chunk of it.

The first method

This method to Integrate Google analytics is easier, just copy and paste. Now head over to your Content Management System (CMS), in this case we will be using WordPress as an example.

Integrate Google analytics

Logged into your WordPress. On the left menu bar. Appearance >Editor.

Integrate Google analytics

On the right bar find “Header” and click on it. Great, more codes. Don’t be afraid! Now in the codes, find <head> and </head>. And paste the codes you previously copied from Google analytics in between <head> and </head>.

Click “Update” and you’ve successfully integrate Google analytics! It’s that simple!!

The Second method

This method of integrate Google analytics is that instead of copying your Tracking code, copy your Tracking ID instead. And for people who are afraid to touch your codes this would be probably more suitable for you. The tracking ID, which is UA-XXXXXXXX-X format. Head on to your WordPress> Plugin> Add New. Search for “Google Analytics Dashboard for WP” click on install now and activate the plugin. Once you activated it, go to its settings> GA Plugin Options and pasted your Tracking ID on it. Save the settings and you’re done, you’ve successfully integrate Google analytics! I wouldn’t really recommend this because this plugins are usually created by users and not Google. So if one day they decided not to maintain it or removed it, your tracking would not work anymore.

Okay once you’re done, let us do a last check to make sure your analytics is really set up. Head over to your website page. Right click and “Inspect elements” Ctrl + F to find for “analytics” Google analytics should highlight to show that it is in place. There you go, you have successful integrate Google Analytics in your website!
